MINA

Since I came back from the US I go to Starbucks once every 6 months or less; that's where I met Mina. What I liked about her probably has to do with the contrast between her haircut and the feeling of uncertainty she transmitted to me. It's interesting to see just now that she looks like a question mark on picture too (#3). I think Graham Green said that when we are not sure, we're alive; then I am happy for you, Mina.

HIVER

Winter is finally over. Just like in life, going through a period of cold and darkness gives the first days of spring a very special taste... the kind of softness that feels like a personal victory.

KO KRET

I also had a few images of Paris under the snow to post here, but since the winter is not totally gone yet, I will stick to warmer images. Ko Kret is a small island on the Chao Phraya river in Bangkok. I rode a bike for a couple of hours there, feeling like the city was miles and miles away: only trees, dying dogs, water, and Buddhas. At some point I took the wrong path and entered a schoolyard; the teacher saw me, and immediately asked his young students to perform a traditional thai dance for me. Their dance teacher was 70 or 80; her hands moved like animals, or leaves in the wind, or waves. What a gift...
