I had to share my bathroom with the biggest spider I've ever seen in Thailand this year. It was a male; we decided to call him Aristide. I felt better afterwards; that day I experienced that naming things is a very efficient way to come to terms with them.

Traveling alone is a very special pleasure. I've done it many times in the past: settling somewhere else and discovering places by myself, bathing in atmospheres that I knew would be impossible to describe to my friends, later. But discovering someone you thought you knew very well, just by hitting the road together, is another kind of adventure. Thanks N. for trusting the unknown with me this year...

Dear readers, I am sorry I haven't been posting for so long. I left Paris for a month, to travel, breathe, and be in the water. I have to admit that living without a computer as my best friend, even for a few weeks, has been amazing. Of course I took photographs while I was there, and will post them soon. Before leaving, I spent 3 days in a lost place with a few friends, doing nothing in the middle of the winter, not even realizing 2010 was approaching. I could not care less about new years; I like new days, minutes, and seconds, much better. Happy new present, you all.
